Karen Monsen

Karen Monsen is professor and coordinator for the nursing informatics specialty at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing, where she directs the Center for Nursing Informatics and leads a practice-based research network, the Omaha System Partnership. Her research uses large datasets to discover patterns and inform health care quality to improve population health outcomes. She pioneered the use of diverse methods with standardized nursing data, and collaborates with clinical partners and researchers world-wide.
