Biography
Jed Elison received a PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then acquired postdoctoral training at the California Institute of Technology before joining the faculty at the University of Minnesota. Jed is currently an Associate Professor in the Institute of Child Development and Department of Pediatrics at UMN where he is advancing an interdisciplinary program of research, situated at the intersection of infant social cognition, the development of the social brain, and the emergence of clinically impairing behaviors during the toddler and preschool-age periods. A large effort in his lab focuses on improving early identification of autism. His work is funded by NIMH, NICHD, the Simons Foundation, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
